Frequently Asked Questions

Vehicle Restoration

Restoring cars is an area that many club members are involved in. The club is a great forum for exchanging ideas on the subject, and often club members will assist each other finding those hard to get parts or services. Whilst the club, in general, is focused on the Austin 7 and other Austin models, it is very much an all cars club. An Austin 7 spare parts service, with both new and used parts at reasonable rates is available to members. The Spare Parts Service ( for members only ) is open from 7:00pm on General Monthly Meeting nights and also preceding the Technical Nights.

Historic Registration

For Historic, Left Hand Drive, Street Rod vehicles and ICVs

The Austin 7 Club of SA Inc. participates in the Club Registration Scheme. Under this scheme, historic or left-hand drive vehicles manufactured 25 years or more ago that comply with the Code of Practice, may be registered for road use at greatly reduced registration fees, providing the owner is a member of a participating car club. It enables the vehicle to be driven on the road for 90 individual days within a calendar year, providing the logbook issued by the vehicle owners club has an appropriate entry for that day before the days journey commences. (Conditions apply – see Transport SA website)
